 Author Visit

It was a pleasure to welcome Sharon Hopwood, author of Little Mouse is Absolutely, Completely, Totally Fine! to school. 
Sharon told us all about being an author, how long it took her to write her book, how she used her imagination to write the story and how the book can help with our everyday emotions. Some children were part of the workshop and helped act out their emotions by using facial expressions and body language. 
We got to meet the character Little Mouse and Sharon came and signed copies of the book.  
Sharon has inspired our children to become authors of their own story! 

Author Visit

 

 

Over the last few years we have had several successful Tardebigge Treks, taking the whole school out for a walk in different areas of the countryside around the school site. Our Tardebigge Trek this year was a circular route taking in the local lanes and the canal. We see this as an excellent opportunity for children to develop some of our School Christian Values, in particular: their perseverance, humility, wisdom, joy, compassion for others, and respect of our local environment. We also believe it is important for our children, most of whom do not live in the immediate vicinity of our school, to see and learn about our local surroundings. For many children, this route will give them a good chance to develop their understanding of road safety and being safe next to canals. Finally, we believe a whole school event like this is a great way to share experiences of awe and wonder as a community: the Tardebigge Family altogether.
